"AKCC" Aljunied-Kembangan Canine Club, was established in March 2002 and is affiliated to Aljunied-Kembangan Zone '1' RC under "PETS CLUB" (2002 ~2006), in 2007 the RC had changed its name under Paya Lebar Zone ‘5’ RC.
The club (AKCC) was setup with the kind support from Mr Low Ngian Woo-Chairman, Mr Daud Bin Abd Hamid- Vice Chairman, Ms Janet Loh- Vice Chairman & Mr Michael Pang- Treasurer of Aljunied-Kembangan Zone '1' RC.
The founder for this club is Mr Stanley Koh whom is presently the trainer of Dr-Dogs.Com (School Of Obedience Training). He had started to conduct dogs’ obedience classes at the Hougang premises since 2001, before he decided to setup the First Canine Club In Singapore that is affiliated to the Residents’ Committee. Presently, he is the advisor who will be fully assisting in organising and managing the club’s activities with a group of helpful volunteer committees which were also the students of Dr-Dogs.Com.
Our aim of setting this club is to educate the right concept of being responsible dogs' owners and also help to promote an entertaining recreation area for both the public and the dogs' owners.
The club (AKCC) will tie up some Dogs Obedience Training programs, which will be conducted by Dr-Dogs.Com with a special discount and other benefits given to members of the club of AKCC. Upon completion of the course, the students will receive a Certificate of Participation, which will be endorsed by the Resident Committee of Paya Lebar Zone ‘5’ RC.
The club itself will be planning for other events like helping the community in volunteering of some Community Works, Workshops on Responsibility for New/ Pre-Dog Owner, Dogs Obedience, Dogs’ Health & Behaviors, Public Education ….
Our club "AKCC" activities will be held at, Amphitheatre (Beside Block 116, Hougang Ave 1) or Maplewood Park (Opp. Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' School) which is the official and approved ground for our activities.
All dog lovers whom enrolled for our training course are welcomed to join as members, you will be enjoying the benefits of special discounts for the other training programs, some free workshops, free recap class, dog swim … which will be organised by AKCC and conducted by DR-DOGS.COM.
To further benefit all the dogs' lovers to be our members, once you have registered for the Obedience Course for the Weekend Class with DR-DOGS.COM, you will automatically become the member of AKCC for a year, as DR-DOGS.COM will fully subsidize the member’s fees for the Club, in our initial launch of AKCC.
